United since 2005, FRAMEST has developed its own repertoire ranging from classic and jazz to pop and other music genres in original a cappella arrangement. This has led to local and international recognition and success. Since the very beginning, the group has included its founder, the active composer Jānis Ķirsis (baritone), as well as Mikus Abaroniņš (tenor). Beāte Zviedre (soprano) joined the group in 2010, Rūta Dūduma (alto) and Roberts Memmēns (bass) - in 2013.
2011 marked collaboration with Grammy Award winning Peter Eldridge and in June 2012, they met again to perform together in Riga.
In summer 2012, FRAMEST participated in international contest "New Wave" in Jurmala, Latvia and become laureates. In January 2014 FRAMEST presented Riga as a Culture capital of Europe in Helsinki Travel exhibition. In January group gave 5 concerts around Umea, participating in opening of Umea as a Capital of Culture. In May 2014, they won 3rd place in the international a cappella festival in Leipzig. In November 2014 group went to a concert tour as a Latvian representative in the First Baltic Music Festival in China.
July 2015 the group won the Gold and Ward Swingle Award in the Jazz category and Silver diploma in Classical category in a cappella competition "Vokal Total" (Graz, Austria) and participated in the MDR MUSIKSOMMER festival in August 2015. In September 2015 group represented Latvia in the international Kansai Music Conference in Kobe, Japan.
In May 2016, the group performed in the prestigious and world famous Cannes Film Festival in France at the Ukrainian official delegation’s event.
In December 2016, FRAMEST performed at the sold out Christmas solo concert in Riga, Latvia.
At the moment FRAMEST is working on the record of their 3rd music album.
